“Don’t Run Joe” Petition Signed by 2,000 Democratic Voters in New Hampshire

Calling it “a strong organizing start for a long-term grassroots effort,” the Don’t Run Joe campaign announced on Monday that more than 2,000 Democratic voters in the first-in-the-nation primary state of New Hampshire have signed a petition urging Joe Biden not to seek a second presidential term since the election last Tuesday.

Meanwhile, a digital ad campaign, launched after the midterm election, has reached tens of thousands of Granite Staters who vote in Democratic primaries. Organizers said the advertising drive will continue into the winter. Especially strong positive responses have come from these messages:

RootsAction.org, an activist group with an email list of 1.2 million supporters in the United States, is sponsoring the Don’t Run Joe campaign. Other national organizations are expected to become cosponsors later this fall.
